Privacy

Updated 16 October 2026.

ClipSubtitles uses account information to provide your workspace and process the videos you choose to upload. Essential sign-in, security and server-side account, project and task records continue independently of optional measurement.

Source media expires after 30 days and completed exports after 7 days under our fixed application policy. A daily cleanup job removes expired media; failed deletions remain eligible for retry, so physical deletion may occur later. Deleting a project attempts to remove its source and output files and removes it from your active workspace when successful. Project metadata is soft-deleted, and transcript, security, billing, audit and backup records may remain. Contact us for an account-level deletion request and the scope of any retained records. We do not sell your personal information.

To create captions, we send the audio needed to produce transcript words and timestamps to AI service providers. A fallback service may process the audio if the primary service cannot complete transcription. Model training is disabled for our primary transcription workspace for audio submitted from 5 October 2026.

Optional browser usage analytics and advertising measurement are off until you choose to enable them. You can enable them separately or choose Essential only. Reopen Privacy choices from the site footer or from Settings to change or withdraw your choice. The choice is remembered for up to 180 days. Attribution data is accepted for up to 90 days after capture. Withdrawal clears stored attribution identifiers and stops the corresponding future collection; it does not undo processing already completed.

Browser usage analytics records feature events in our application. Advertising measurement stores campaign and click identifiers and associates eligible purchases with those campaigns through AppRefer. It does not send video or transcript content to AppRefer.

If you enable browser usage analytics, our public pages also load Microsoft Clarity, which records page interactions such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement to produce session replays and heatmaps. Clarity does not run on signed-in pages (your workspace, projects, editor and exports), so it never sees your videos, transcripts, captions, titles or file names. Withdrawing the choice stops Clarity. See the Microsoft privacy statement.

Optional assistant diagnostics are off by default. Enable or disable Help improve assistant reliability in your account Settings and save your choice; it applies across your connected assistants. When enabled, we record service diagnostics for each tool request and in-chat card: which tool or card was used, whether it succeeded or its error code, how long it took, the assistant app's name and version, and a coarse platform (web, iOS, Android or desktop). For in-chat uploads we also record the upload outcome and a size range. These records are linked to your account identifier, stored in our Google Cloud project in London (europe-west2) for up to 400 days, used only to operate and improve the service, and never sold or shared with advertisers. Turning the setting off stops future optional collection, but does not delete earlier records. Essential security, access-audit and billing records continue independently. They never include your prompts, videos, transcripts, captions, titles, file names, IP address or full browser user-agent string.

Gleap support loads only when you choose to open Help or Contact support; automatic support page tracking is disabled. When you are signed in, support receives your user and workspace identifiers, display name, workspace name, available credits, authentication type and masked email so we can help with your account. Information you choose to send in a support conversation is processed by Gleap.

Other service providers support authentication, storage, rendering and billing. Contact privacy@clipsubtitles.com for access or deletion requests. To report a security issue, contact security@appagentic.dev.
