ClipSubtitles is a video captioning tool for creators, teams and AI agents. It turns a short spoken video into accurate, styled captions that you review before exporting a captioned video or subtitle files. It is made by App Agentic.

App Agentic builds and operates ClipSubtitles: the website, the web editor, the API and the MCP server that AI assistants connect to. The service is in early access and changes as we improve it; the terms and privacy policy describe how it works today.

Captions from speech
Generates word-timed captions from the speech in a short video. You review the transcript and correct any word before export; the system never rewrites what was said.
Styles you preview first
Choose a caption style and motion preset and preview it on your clip before a paid render.
Exports for any workflow
A captioned MP4, a transparent ProRes 4444 caption overlay, or SRT and VTT subtitle files, all from the same reviewed words and timing.
Works with AI assistants
An MCP server and a REST API let ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or your own code do the caption work. A person approves a fixed credit quote before any paid render starts.
Limits
What it does not do.

It is not a full video editor
ClipSubtitles captions a finished edit. Cutting, music, B-roll and effects belong in your editor.
It does not translate
Captions are created in the language spoken in the video.
It is built for short videos
Each video can be up to 10 minutes long and 500 MB in size.
Your videos
How your media is handled.
To create captions, the audio from your video is sent to ElevenLabs for transcription, with Google Gemini as the fallback. Source media expires after 30 days and finished exports after 7 days. Optional analytics stay off until you turn them on.
