Worked example
Subtitle editor, in practice.
Open a local video, pause at the start of a line and use Set start from video. Correct the cue text and download the revised subtitle file.
Before you download
Preview a video from your device without uploading it. This tool exports subtitle files, not a burned-in video. Your browser must support the chosen video codec.
These tools work with existing SRT and WebVTT files. If you need captions from audio, open the video caption editor instead. Files are limited to 5 MiB and 20,000 cues per input. Results stay in this tab until you copy or download them.
Questions
A few useful answers.
Does my video upload anywhere?
No. Local preview opens the video in your browser. Neither the video nor the subtitles are sent to our servers.
Are my files private, and what are the limits?
Processing stays in this browser without an account. Each subtitle input is limited to 5 MiB of UTF-8 text and 20,000 cues. Session recording is disabled here. Closing or reloading the page clears your work.
